GHK-Cu is a three-amino-acid copper complex with real topical human trial data. BPC-157 is a fifteen-amino-acid sequence with thirty years of animal data and almost no human trials. Ipamorelin is a five-amino-acid engineered synthetic with a known receptor, a failed human RCT, and no approved use. ## Reading the comparison

A few patterns stand out when the three are lined up:

**Chemistry determines survival.** GHK-Cu's copper chelate determines most of its biological activity — not just transport. BPC-157's triple proline is the structural reason it can survive acid. Ipamorelin's D-amino acids and Aib are deliberate engineering for protease resistance. In each case, the chemistry is not just description; it explains why the peptide can do what it is claimed to do.

**Human evidence is uneven.** GHK-Cu has the most controlled human data, but only for topical skin and hair applications. Ipamorelin has published human PK data and a controlled trial (which failed). BPC-157 has almost none — a two-person safety pilot and two other small reports. Preclinical breadth does not substitute for human trials, and none of these is an approved medicine.

**WADA status matters for athletes.** Two of the three — BPC-157 (S0) and Ipamorelin (S2) — are prohibited in competitive sport with established detection methods. GHK-Cu is currently not listed. Anyone in a sport subject to anti-doping control should check the current WADA Prohibited List directly before any research use.
